Welcome to our new Region A Regional Director - Shirish Vaidya!
Hi folks, my name is Shirish Vaidya. I have been involved in Destination Imagination since 2002, starting with a program then known as Odyssey of the Mind. Almost all this time has been as a Team Manager where my role has been to help kids learn life skills and to motivate them to believe in the possibilities both as individuals and as a team. To me, DI is about the journey more than the end result. I have had the privilege of being part of the DI journey with my teams all the way from 1st grade to high school, accompanied by parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers, well-wishers, and significant others, all the way from scrappy performances in garages and family rooms to the exhilaration of performing on the Global Finals stage. This involvement has been one of the most satisfying moments of my life as I have watched kids grow and develop over the years from shy, uncertain individuals into confident team players ready to contribute to the world around us. After my teams graduated, I have been helping out in team manager trainings especially to help new team managers embrace the DI journey. I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
