Start a Team

1. Pay your 2024-25 team & tournament fees

​From the DI Store, purchase:
  • Team Manager Background Check 
  • Team Number, which auto-adds our WA Affiliate fee​
​Fees cover all WA Regional and Affiliate Tournament fees; Team Challenges, practice Instant Challenges and Team Manager training materials.

2. Form your team & complete background checks

From DI Resources:
  • Select My Teams to assign your Team Manager(s) and your team members. If you're the Team Manager, you must assign yourself.
  • Initiate your Sterling Volunteers Background Check.​
3. Download challenge materials & training
From DI Resources, select Documents to view the Challenge Materials folder.  ​​​
4. Register for your tournament & designate a volunteer
Register your team for the Eastern or Western Regional Tournaments.​​
  • All registrations must be complete on or before 12/16
  • Your paid WA Affiliate fee (step 1) covers all tournament fees.​
  • Each parent must complete each team member's registration. This step may take a few days to complete.
  • All teams are required to designate a volunteer Appraiser at  registration. Learn more about volunteering. 
Keep in mind:                                            
  • The volunteer must be 18+ years old AND completed high school.
  • Must attend a one day appraiser training.
  • Volunteer for the whole tournament day.
  • The team manager cannot be the volunteer.​
