The 2023 WA DI Barb Sailors Scholarship Is Open! Submit Before March 12th!

Every year, Washington DI offers a scholarship to someone currently involved in DI who is pursuing a higher education opportunity.

WA DI will grant one outstanding individual $1000 to help pay for college, graduate school, or other form of higher education. Applicants do not have to be graduating High School Seniors.

Click here to apply or email arc@wa-di.org with any questions!

DI Vintage Pin Donations Needed!
Each year at our Affiliate Tournament we hold a vintage pin auction and sell grab bags of vintage pins.
This is made possible by donations of vintage DI pins from former team members, parents, and officials.
We are asking anyone who is willing to donate their vintage pins to contact:
Cathy Adams: pins@wa-di.org.
We will arrange to have you mail the pins or if needed we can pick them up.
Thank you for your support of Washington Destination Imagination!

What is Destination Imagination?

Quite possibly the world's largest creative problem-solving tournament!

Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Our purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven, new, standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to production. Tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to tackle any challenge. In working to solve Challenges, teams utilize skills - creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship, courage, and beyond - to build on their unique strengths.
