BRING YOUR DI SKILLS TO POLAND!
Ready to take your Destination Imagination (DI) skills abroad? DI Poland is opening up its 2019 Affiliate Tournament to all registered teams across the globe!

The DI Poland Affiliate Tournament will take place in Wroclaw from March 1-3, 2019 and is an opportunity for international teams to meet new people, showcase their creativity and immerse themselves in a new cultural experience.

International teams will have the opportunity to participate in a one-of-a-kind Buddy Team Challenge, as well as an Instant Challenge. International teams can also present their Team Challenge solutions as guests and will receive feedback points from Appraisers. However, feedback points will not qualify teams for Global Finals 2019 if their DI Affiliate has its own Affiliate Tournament.

In addition to the tournament, teams will have the opportunity to attend team parties and celebrations, see amazing Team Challenge solutions from Polish teams, trade pins and tour the beautiful city of Wroclaw.
For information on the event schedule, download the DI Poland event flyer.
The deadline to register for the event is January 7, 2019.

Please note that this event is hosted by DI Poland and has no affiliation with Destination Imagination, Inc. For questions about the event, please contact the DI Poland International Teams Coordinator, Malgorzata Keson, at malgorzata.jastrzebska@dipolska.pl.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2017-2018 W.I.N. SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS!

Adam Chen
A senior at Juanita High School's Cambridge program, Adam has been involved in DI for 9 years. As a passionate painter and photographer, Adam has helped his DI team to win many Renaissance Awards throughout the years. He plans to study art history at Yale, with the eventual goal of becoming a museum curator or professor.

Evelyn Hokanson
As a young leader in her community, Evelyn is heavily involved in multiple clubs and an active youth participant with the school board. While most high school students enjoy the trials and tribulations of being a team member on a DI team, Evelyn has stepped up and taken on the oft difficult task of a manager. She has assisted in managing younger DI teams, helping lead them to success and new learning opportunities.

Tracy Freckleton
Tracy has been a Team Manager, Building Coordinator, and enthusiastic tournament Volunteer for DI. Her local Regional Director has stated, "When I need someone that I can count on, I know that Tracy will be there." Tracy is known for her generous and loving spirit: she is the biological mother to 4 children and has adopted or fostered 15 more! She teaches each child in her home the DI principle of thinking outside the box in the face of challenges. After earning her degree in Public Health, Tracy plans to earn her doctorate in Natural Medicine from Bastyr University and continue making her community a brighter place.

AFFILIATE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT - DI ALUMNA TAKES THE HELM!

Barb Sailors retired June 30th, 2017.  The Board of Directors thanks Barb for her years and years of service to the organization.
Lindsey Holdren, a DI team member, scholarship winner, appraiser, and more has been selected as the new Affiliate Director!  She is from Silverdale on the Olympic Peninsula and will be establishing the state DI office there.  She is now receiving emails at director@wa-di.org.

Lindsey discovered Destination Imagination when she was in the 6th grade, and she has been hooked ever since.  She has been an enthusiastic tutu-wearing team member, scholarship winner, appraiser, and international challenge writer.  Her favorite pursuits include reading any and all geeky literature, wild swimming, crafting subversive embroidery, and writing bios about herself.
