Scholarship Opportunities

There are several scholarship opportunities for Destination ImagiNation participants.  In addition to the Washington Imagination Network Creative Problem Solving Scholarship below, the Destination ImagiNation Support Committee also offers scholarship opportunities for DI participants.

WASHINGTON IMAGINATION NETWORK
2008 CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Applications must be postmarked by February 23rd, 2008 to be considered for an award in 2008. The minimum amount awarded will be $500.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be:

  1. Currently involved in Destination ImagiNation in a significant manner (i.e. team member, team manager, appraiser, IC Day organizer, etc.)
  2. At least a Senior in high school or older

  1. One letter of recommendation from someone who is has been a part of your involvement with creative problem solving
  2. One letter of recommendation from someone of your choice (Optional)
  3. Your most recent transcripts from your high school, college, trade school or other educational institution
  4. A one page essay, including but not limited to:
    1. Your personal strengths and interests
    2. Your future plans and goals for continuing your education
    3. Your involvement with creative problem solving, including current activities
    4. Your involvement with other activities at your school, in your community, or with other organizations
    5. How your life has been impacted by your DI experience or other creative problem solving experiences
    6. Your predictions about what role creative problem solving will take in your future and why
